Ubiquitylation features

Ubiquitylation site K129

Ubiquitylation type Not Determined
Features Ymer functions in the EGF signalling pathway. Cell stimulation with EGF is required for Ymer tyrosine phosphorylation and ubiquitylation. Modified Ymer is mainly located at the plasma membrane with EGF receptor and functions in its endocytosis, acting as a supressor of ligand-induced degradation of EGFR. Ymer has two motifs interacting with the ubiquitin (MIU) domains that might function as a binding site for the ubiquitylated EGF receptor. Ymer ubiquitylation site was determined by MS/MS.
