Ubiquitylation features

Ubiquitylation site K877, K889 (K879, K891 according to Swiss-Prot sequence)

Ubiquitylation type Mono-ubiqutylation
Features Leptin receptors are constitutively endocytosed in a ligand-independent manner. Both OB-Ra and OB-Rb isoforms undergo ubiquitylation, internalization by clathrin-mediated endocytosis and transfer to Hrs-positive endosomes. However, proteasome inhibitors ihibit only OB-Ra internalization.
