Purpose and contents
The UbiProt Database project aims to summarize a significant volume of data concerning various protein substrates of ubiquitylation. Each database entry describing particular ubiquitylated protein comprises information about protein properties and sources; ubiquitylation features, including details of respective conjugation cascade; literature reference and links to related databases. All data included were experimentally obtained by research groups from around the world and can be verified using respective references.

Software
UbiProt Database was developed and deployed using public available software, including PHP 4.0.3 with additional modules SMARTY and PEAR and MySQL 4.0 as a database management tool. Web interface software uses PHP+SMARTY template framework.

Database access UbiProt Database has been developed and is maintained by Ubiquitin Research Group at Central Research Laboratory of Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy (Russia).
All UbiProt contents are freely available for non-commercial academic use. For any questions regarding commercial use please contact us via e-mail ubiprot[at]gma.nnov.ru.

Feedback
We strongly encourage researchers working in the field of ubiquitylation to participate in the maintaining of the database and to submit their own data. If you have any proposals or comments on our project, please do not hesitate to contact us at ubiprot[at]gma.nnov.ru. Please also report any curation errors or other problems to the same e-mail address.
